What About 9 In The Bible?
2 Timothy 2: 15,16
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing The Word of Truth. But shun profane and vain babblings:for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
1 Timothy 4:12
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Since I love to end with a happy note, I'll give you the bad news first. One of the things that 9 covers in the Bible by way of event and association is finality or Judgment.I encourage you to take note of the mention of it as you study, and follow through on it with a good Bible Concordance.Let's walk through some of the sets of 9 together.
Embracing 9....2 Peter 1: 2 ~ 11
According as His Divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto Life and Godliness, through the Knowledge of Him that hath called us to Glory and Virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the Divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

In the Bible, there are 3 more sets of 9 I wish to bring focus upon, i.e.:
a) 9 Beatitudes in Jesus' Sermon on the Mount.
b) 9 Gifts of The Holy Spirit and,
c) 9 Fruits of The Holy Spirit.
a) 9 Beatitudes: Matthew 5: 1 ~ 16
And seeing the multitudes, Jesus went up into a mountain: and when He was set, His disciples (followers) came unto Him: And He opened His mouth, and taught them, saying,
1) Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is The Kingdom of Heaven.
2) Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
3) Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
4) Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
5) Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
6) Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
7) Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
8) Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is The Kingdom of Heaven.
9) Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in Heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.
b) 9 Gifts of The Holy Spirit given to believers: 1 Corinthians 12: 6 ~ 11 (see and study in depth)
c) 9 Fruits of The Holy Spirit possessing the believer: Galatians 5:22,23
But the fruit of The Holy Spirit is:
1) love
2) joy
3) peace
4) long-suffering
5) gentleness
6) goodness
7) faith
8) meekness
9) temperance
These are some of the sets of 9, of which I trust have uplifted, edified and strengthened you in The Lord. See Acts 10 accounting as the number 9 is used in the Angel Visitation and Command to Cornelius. You may wish to do a study on various numbers such as 40, 3, 7 etc. in the same manner.
My heartfelt desire is that you've enjoyed this brief message as much as I have in the getting and giving of it. Also, that it has wet your appetite to study further on it. Shalom, and do come back by soon.
Thank You For Sharing ~ Very Prettily Done!
