Pics N Poems
Hello!  I'm glad you came by to soak up this new kind of page on my site.
This page was inspired by the following pics n poems.  I hope you enjoy them.

An Angel kissed my tears away
today when I was sad.
I wasn't feeling quite myself
my day had been so bad.
I felt a warmth brush by me
that quickly dried my tears;
A gentle, kind, and loving touch
that seemed to hold me near.
Immediately, I felt so much better
and the day seemed brighter, too.
I guess that's just the way you feel
when an Angel comforts you.

It's In Your Face
You don't have to tell how you live each day,
You don't have to say if you work or play,
A tried, true barometer serves in the place;
however you live, it will show in your face.
The false, the deceit you bear in your heart
Will not stay inside, where it first got a start.
For sin and blood are a thin veil of lace;
what you wear in your heart you wear in your face.
If your life is unselfish,
if for others you live,
for not what you get,
but for how much you can give;
If you live close to God, in His infinite Grace,
you don't have to tell it,
it shows in your face.

" Walk A Little Plainer, Daddy "

"Walk a little plainer, Daddy,"
said a little boy so frail.
"I'm following in your footsteps
And I don't want to fail.
Sometimes your steps are very plain,
Sometimes they're hard to see.
So walk a little plainer, Daddy,
For you are leading me.
I know that you once
walked this way
Many years ago.

And what you did along the way
I'd really like to know.
For sometimes when I'm tempted
I don't know what to do.
So, walk a little plainer, Daddy,
For I must follow you.
Someday when I am grown up,
You are like I want to be,
Then I will have a little boy,
Who will want to follow me.
And I would want to lead him right
And help him to be true.
So, walk a little plainer, Daddy,
For we must follow you. "

A Woman's Beauty
The beauty of a woman
Is not in the clothes she wears,
The figure that she carries,
Or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes,
Because that is the doorway to her heart,
The place where love resides.
The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole
But true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul.
It is the caring that she lovingly gives,
The passion that she shows,
And the beauty of a woman
With passing years only grows!

And A Tad of Humor For Your Day
Old Folks Are Worth A Fortune
Old folks are worth a fortune,
with silver in their hair,
gold in their teeth,
stones in their kidneys,
lead in their feet and
gas in their stomachs.
I have become a lot more social with the passing of the years,
some might even call me a frivolous old gal.
I'm seeing five gentlemen every day!
As soon as I wake, Will Power helps me get out of bed.
Then I go see John.
Then Charley Horse comes along,
and when he is here he takes a lot of my time and attention!
When he leaves, Arthur Ritis shows up and stays the rest of the day.
He doesn't like to stay in one place very long,
so he takes me from joint to joint!
After such a busy day,
I'm really tired and glad to go to bed, with Ben Gay!
P.S. The Preacher came to call the other day.
He said that at my age I should be thinking about the hear-after.
I told him I do, all the time.
No matter where I am, in the kitchen or down in the basement,
I ask myself, "Now what am I here after?"

High Resolve
I'll hold my Candle high, and then
Perhaps I'll see the hearts of men
Above the sordidness of life,
Beyond misunderstandings, strife.
Though many deeds that others do
Seem foolish, rash and sinful too,
Just who am I to criticize
What I perceive with my dull eyes?
I'll hold my candle high, and then
Perhaps I'll see the hearts of men.
