At some time in our lives, in one facet or another, this sermon applies to everyone.
God sees; God knows; God cares; and, God is believing in all of us to the degree that He gave His only Son for an offering of Love to man and a Door to Heaven Eternally.
There is a way for you out of your present circumstance. Anyone can change; if they just will.
Jesus Christ has your answers and He is The Way through everything that this life presents to man. All things and all people are passing. He is Eternal.
Only what we become and live with Christ Jesus unto God and man will last. Nothing else.
Today, our life is either being built for the heart and Eyes of God or it is not. We are as close to Him today as we want to be. We are getting out of our 'relationship with Him', exactly what we put into it. This life on earth is our opportunity to do something with God.
We begin doing so by caring about what He thinks, feels toward us and wants. This said, ponder the following, and it is my prayer that you rake in what is yours to benefit and change by; and that you leave alone what is not. Either way, God's Precious will be done in your heart, dear reader.
Luke 19: 10
For The Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Proverbs 4: 23
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Proverbs 21: 2, 23, 24
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but The Lord pondereth the hearts.
Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.
Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.
2 Corinthians 5: 17 ~ 19, 21
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath Reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of Reconciliation;To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us The Word of Reconciliation. For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the Righteousness of God in Him.
Let's say that you know you have 'blown it' a time or two and your taking charge of your self isn't where it needs to be. Perhaps you will see your self in the following from where you have been, or are at the present, i.e.:
a) Placed your heart, time, energies and zeal forth into pursuing that coveted job, at any price to you and others;
James 4: 7, 8
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
b) Gone after the fame and prestige of this temporary world;
Luke 21: 33 ~ 36
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but My words shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before The Son of man.
c) Walked down some roads where you didn't see the pit falls lurking to deceive and ensnare you and you haven't forgiven your self, still bearing the guilt. You can come out of that ditch. God knows you and He alone knows your heart.
1 Samuel 16: 7
But The Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for The Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but The Lord looketh on the heart.
d) Theft ~ taking 'job supplies and/or job time', doing your own 'personal agenda' while 'on the clock' of an employer;
e) Cussed a few unhealthy words, even name-called another; backbiting, gossiping, slander, etc.
1 Peter 3: 10, 11
For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. (see James 3)
f) Going to church saying 'I'm a Christian', while raising your children see you are world seeking, worldly activities, no time in The Bible or prayer; a slanderer, back-biting, covetous, loose-tongued, lies etc.
1 Timothy 4: 2
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;...
Hebrews 4: 12, 13
For The Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the Eyes of Him with Whom we have to do.
g) Seeking the recognition, approval and praise of man;
John 5: 44 Jesus said:
How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?
John 7: 18
He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh His Glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
h) Possessing a love all around 'self'; consideration and thought for self; self-seeking; being disinterested, passive, insensitive, and inconsiderate of others;
Mark 12: 30, 31 Jesus said
And thou shalt love The Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the First Commandment. And the Second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Luke 6: 31
And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
i) Covetousness: i.e. just can't get enough; shop till you drop, and run after more and more, never satisfied within;
Exodus 20: 3
Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.
Colossians 3: 1 ~ 10
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our Life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in Glory.
Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the Wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in Knowledge after the image of Him that created Him:...
Acts 17: 24 ~ 28
God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that He is Lord of Heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed any thing, seeing He giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek The Lord, if haply they might feel after Him, and find Him, though He be not far from every one of us: For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring.
j) Hearing The Word of God in any given area and not taking it to heart, making sure you act upon it;
Romans 1: 18
For the Wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold The Truth in unrighteousness;..
James 1: 21, 22
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted Word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of The Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
k) Giving your self over into habitual sins, not refusing and forsaking them;
Hebrews 12: 13 ~ 15
And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see The Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the Grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;..
1 Thessalonians 5: 21 ~ 23
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace Sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
l) Saying...one thing; and, doing another, i.e. insincerity, lacking commitment with pretense;
James 1: 8
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
1 Samuel 2: 3
Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth:
for The Lord is a God of Knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed.
James 2: 18
Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. (obedience)
m) Partiality: Preferring certain people over others and treating them that way, i.e.:
James 2: 1 ~ 4
My brethren, have not the Faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, The Lord of Glory, with respect of persons. For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
Jude 1: 14 ~ 16
...Behold, The Lord cometh with ten thousands of His saints, To Execute Judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.
n) God cares about others more than me;
Acts 10: 34, 35
Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth Him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with Him.
o) I tried God and it didn't work and I quit.
Philippians 4: 13
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Galatians 6: 7 ~ 9
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap Life Everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
p) Every day, there are injustices. Where is God in it all? Why doesn't He stop the wicked doers?
Romans 14: 7 ~ 12
For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto The Lord; and whether we die, we die unto The Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are The Lord's. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that He might be Lord both of the dead and living. But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before The Judgment Seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith The Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Psalms 1: 1 ~ 6
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in The law of The Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the Rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in The Judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For The Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish
Proverbs 15: 3
The Eyes of The Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
1 Peter 3: 12
For The Eyes of The Lord are over the righteous, and His ears are open unto their prayers:
but The Face of The Lord is against them that do evil.
q) Where do I find Divine Truth when there are so many 'religions' out there in our world? Which one is right to follow?
John 5: 39, 40 Jesus said:
Search The Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have Eternal Life: and they are they which testify of Me. And ye will not come to Me, that ye might have Life.
John 8: 32, 32
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, If ye continue in My Word, then are ye My disciples (followers) indeed; And ye shall know The Truth, and The Truth shall make you free.
r) Letting others influence and control you. Caring more about what people in your life think of you and want, than what God knows, feels and sees in you and wants;
Psalms 91: 1, 2
He that dwelleth in The Secret Place of The Most High shall abide under The Shadow of The Almighty. I will say of The Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.
Galatians 1: 10
For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
Ephesians 6: 6 ~ 8
Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing The will of God from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of The Lord, whether he be bond or free.
Aware or unaware of the danger and Judgment of choices we make, we each step into what we 'want'. I speak of a Spiritual heart condition here. Yes, God knows our heart. Aware or unaware of the blessings involved, we go forward into what we 'want'.
Proverbs 4: 23
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
On this road called life, there are signs along our way.
Such signs as 'no left turn', 'stop', 'dead end', 'road out ahead', 'detour', 'no turn ', 'caution: winding curves ahead', 'downhill, slow down'; 'one-way road ahead', 'merge right', 'one lane traffic ahead', 'steep hill', etc.
Unlike the signs we follow when we drive, yet similar in warning for our good and safety, they appear in various ways to us in our living.
Depending upon our knowledge at any given time, we may see the signs and we may not.
We may foresee the pitfalls of the devil and destruction, loss and misery ahead; or, we may not.
Be it by way of having the nature of a bull or jackass; or, a lamb running to unseen slaughter, God sees and knows our heart.
He watches, feels, waits, and is there for each us. His children are not alone, ever!
James 3: 13 ~ 18
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against The Truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the Wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
1 Peter 3: 12 ~ 18
For the Eyes of The Lord are over the righteous, and His Ears are open unto their prayers: but The Face of The Lord is against them that do evil. And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; But Sanctify The Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but Quickened by The Spirit:..
God is all wise, all that is good, and patiently waits on us to 'get the message'. He sees we 'get it' when we live like it.
Faith produces action. At times when you don't believe in your self, remember, He is still believing in you. This in itself, helps us to believe in our self motivating us to assume full responsibility for our self producing needful change. All that matters is what He knows and thinks of us. He's watching.
He trusts each person with their own choices of the heart. God Himself paid the ultimate price by giving us His Son Who points The Way for us all. He is believing in us to use our heart for Him as the very Center of our life which everything and everyone else fits around.
Nothing we do to become what pleases Him, compares to His Sacrifice for us.
He isn't expecting what we cannot be, become and live. What if He had said 'no' to His Father in several areas of what God expected of Him?
Where would we all be?
There would be no Eternity and 'abiding in His Presence' here or in Heaven. Plus...plus. He alone is worthy of our lasting loving allegiance.
He knows what is in our heart at any given time. He knows what we shall ultimately choose. He knows why we shall choose it and when.
He knows what to allow to convince us all of what we need to see and change.
He knows our motives and intent of heart and judges it.
He also knows what to 'allow' for the purpose of Him having His way and purpose with His clay....us. Bringing forth...a vessel 'mete for His use'.
He wholeheartedly believes in each person on earth to choose good for 'self' over...evil. He invested Himself with His Blood on the Cross for such!
Very Beautifully Done And I Thank Each of You So Much!
